School Start Time

The elementary school day starts at 8:35 a.m.  The incoming bell is rung at 8:27 a.m. Please do not have your children arrive at school before 8:15 a.m. Children who arrive before this time are unsupervised and we are concerned about their safety if they are unsupervised.

Safe Arrival Program

204-2329

When your child will be late or absent from school, please call the school's Safe Arrival Phone number - 204-2329 - by 8:45 a.m. on the day of the absence.  A recorded message will ask you to leave your name, your child's name, and classroom teacher, the date(s) your child will be absent, and the reason for the absence or tardiness.

The Safe Arrival Phone Line is open 24 hours a day.  As soon as you know your child will be absent, call 204-2329.

Each day, for children who are absent but for whom we have not received a telephone call within 30 minutes after school starts, we will call you to make sure your child is at home.  We must have a telephone number on file where we can reach you between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.   The school will make two attempts to reach the parent.  Please make every attempt to call us first.

Market Day

Market Day is the major money maker for the ORE PTO.  Parents order food each month from Market Day.  The food is delivered to ORE once a month, organized by volunteers, and the people that ordered the food come to the school to pay and pick up the food.

Lunch

The lunch period is 30 minutes long.  Usually, children spend the first half of the period eating and the remainder outside at recess.

Students may purchase hot lunch or bring a sack lunch.  Milk is available at 35 cents per carton for sack lunchers.
